Our History

1930

Pedro P. Cruz Elementary School (PPCES), formerly Mauway Elementary School, was established on June 2, 1930. It began in a rented house at the corner of Barangka Drive and Arayat in Brgy. Mauway. Ms. Faustina Rodolfo led the first-grade class, with Mr. Filemon Arellano as principal.

2011

Special Education (SPED) was officially established in June 2011 by Teacher Doris L. Magno. The program became a pioneer in helping extraordinary children with physical, intellectual, and autism spectrum challenges.

2017

By 2017, the school successfully offered five major programs: Early Intervention, Functional Academics, Regular Academics, Pre-vocational, and Vocational programs, catering to the diverse needs of SPED learners.

2020 – Present

Under Ms. Marife V. Arias (SPED Supervisor), the Transition Curriculum was implemented. Our dedicated team now includes eight specialized teachers:
